Folklore

Folklore is synonymous of Brazilian popular culture. Among the various characters are: the legend of Cuca - a scary old woman in the shape of an alligator who captures disobedient children; Saci Perere, a one-legged black boy who is always up to mischief and has a lot of fun with it; The Headless Mule, a woman who was cursed for sleeping with a priest, and so she turns into this monster every time passes from Thursday to Friday; And finally, Iara, a seductive mermaid, who bewitches fishermen with her beauty and song, and takes them to the bottom of the river, where she devours them.

O folclore é sinônimo da cultura popular brasileira. Entre os vários personagens estão: a lenda da Cuca - uma velha assustadora em forma de jacaré que captura crianças desobedientes; o Saci Pererê, menino negro de uma perna só que vive aprontando travessuras e se diverte muito com isso; A Mula sem cabeça, mulher que foi amaldiçoada por dormir com um padre, e por isso se transforma nesse monstro em cada passagem de quinta para sexta-feira; E por último, Iara, uma sereia sedutora, que enfeitiça os pescadores com sua beleza e canto, e os leva para o fundo do rio, onde os devora.
